A leading global contract research organization dissatisfied with their lab’s scientific affairs function retained Kineticos to conduct an operational review of the entire department and identify opportunities to increase the function’s value to the business unit.
Kineticos started by performing a thorough review of current processes, tools and organizational structure supporting the company’s scientific and technical services within the lab, including the analysis of the following:
- Technical support
- Test code management,
- Third party labs
- Pricing/Cost models
- Lab operations.
- Organizational structure
Post review, existing processes were updated and new processes were developed to conform to best practices. To support implementation of the new process, Kineticos developed RACI matrices, optimizing tools, and a metrics scorecard to evaluate effectiveness.
After gaining buy in throughout the business unit, the new processes and tools were deployed to the respective teams. The implementation included all staff being formerly trained on the processes and tools along with the objectives of the change in protocol.
